This camera is amazing!!! I'm always traveling to haunted or abandoned places to take cool pictures for school and this camera is the best!!!!! Takes really good HD pictures I am very impressed obviously it's not all high tech like those expensive professional cameras but it does its job and can't beat that price! At my local target it retails 230 so this price is a steal! :)

Great camera! Takes wonderful photos and the quality is awesome. I'm still figuring out all the settings and whatnot, but so far I've had no issues. For the price, I think this camera is well worth it and performs great.The zoom on the camera is amazing and is one of the main reasons why I bought the camera. The only gripe I have is that the bottom part of the camera, where the batteries and memory card are housed, can be a little tricky to open and close. However, this is just my opinion. I am always overly careful when opening the bottom since I don't want to break the camera, so I think it could just be that I'm still adjusting to this part of the camera haha.I've attached a few images that I've taken with the camera so far, I've only had it for about 3 weeks.

I am behind the curve insofar as concerns photography expertise. I had a little bit of trouble at first using this camera. It is basically not at all hard to use, but I still was messing up, and had some trouble adjusting settings and figuring out which button or setting to use, plus finding the buttons for settings on the camera.

But it works very well, and it’s not particularly complicated.

It's an excellent product at an affordable price.

A few tips:

The user manual that came with the camera is very brief and doesn’t seem to cover everything. I downloaded the user manual online as a PDF file. It took just a minute to do so. The downloaded user manual is very thorough and clear.

The tech support that the company provides is excellent. I accessed them by phone. Hardly no wait time. They are patient and helpful, and explain things clearly. Resolved all mu questions and issues very expeditiously and left me happy, feeling I could use the camera without making mistakes or getting blurry photos.

I would recommend this camera.

By the way, it is easy to take videos; it makes excellent ones with just one touch of a button.

It has been a while now. I had a lot of time to use this camera and get to know it. I can't say all the times I've had with the GoPro Hero 4 Silver were good, but not all were bad either. I have taken my GoPro on multiple trips and it has been great for recording those moments you just don't want to forget. This past summer I went on a sailing trip with my friends. We had a blast. This was a 2-week long trip and my camera suddenly turned off on the second day. I thought it might of been the battery, but after replacing it nothing at changed. I was worried that i got water into it somehow. I was scared because the camera I bought with my own money(I'm 16 so I don't work) I saved up over the years and the item I wanted so badly had failed me. I didn't know what to do or how to break the news to my parents. Not to mention that I didn't get to record anything from the trip. I had so much planned as well. The moment I got home, I called GoPro customer support and after about 5 min. I took a sigh of relief. They told me not to worry and follow a couple of steps. After a certain procedure they told me that I got a faulty camera and they will get that replaced for me. I got a RMA # and got the camera sent off. I had to pay for the shipping so they offered me a GoPro mount or accessory in return. I waited a week and a half and got a new camera with a spare battery and the mount a chose. A couple of weeks had passed and on my next sailing trip I noticed that something was not quite right with the sound. After some experimenting, I noticed that I had another faulty GoPro that had the helicopter noise when Wifi was on. I was devastated. I called GoPro straightaway and once again I was told not to worry and that they will get my camera replaced. I got another camera, accessory and replacement camera. The moral of this story is that this camera is no where near as durable and solid as it is said to be(or I am the most unluckiest man ever), but on the other hand the GoPro customer service is spot on.

Im so happy with it! cant wait to try it! the only thing i was really mad about was the shipping, i understand its a holiday season but they transfered the package to the post office without letting me know before,knowing the post office always takes forever and their not always secure , so i got it a few days later than expected, but overall i loved my new camera.


This is the best GoPro available. It is extremely versatile. It allows you to take it out of the casing and change out batteries. As well as use the GoPro without the external housing. Best feature is the built in screen. This makes it more like a traditional digital camera. You can instantly review your video and photos on the go. It has all the features you will need between video, photos and time lapses.

Only negative that I have found with mine thus far is low light photos. It has a night mode that makes it better than older models but still not the best. If you give the GoPro enough light it will be sharp almost overtime but when you shoot with it at night I've found my photos and video to not be as sharp as I would like.

If you get a GoPro definitely get this one. You will not regret it.


After using a Hero 2, I decided that I'd buy one as soon as it had a touch LCD screen. This is a great camera, definitely a disruptive technology. Broadcast quality 1080P/4K, waterproof, sports pocket video camera with an IOS/Android App at a GREAT price. Leaves the buys scratching their heads saying "What happened?".

Love this unit. So many settings to do into a deep dive with. Great brand. Great price (esp over Black Friday 2015). I especially love how I can go into water or on land, or in the sky, etc with it. It's fully functional. Perfect for taking videos/pictures for the family on the run. Also able to use external mic (shotgun/lav,etc) on the side with a cable (sold sep) so you can turn this into a camera that records documentaries, films, etc. 4k 2.7 or 1080p all have good solid options for frame rate. 4k less so, but that's where the BLACK edition comes in. Having the back monitor for instant viewing is awesome. Also loved the WIFI functions on this, so you can go "selfie" and monitor your output via your phone via the GoPro (free) app. Nice! Highly recommend this sweet little unit!


This GoPro is super tiny, great features and performs like a rock star. You will love it's portability. I purchased these additional accessories. We've used several of them and they're all great!!
